Do an Act of Kindness Everyday
Everyone has a busy life and itâs easy to get caught up in our own world, focusing on our own problems, our plans. Itâs understandable, after all, we do have to think about whatâs happening in our lives, the day to day tasks we need to accomplish, make sure thereâs food on the table, make sure kids get to school on time, get to work on time, traffic, health issues and the list can go on.Â
Because we have such busy schedules we donât always stop to see that there are people all around us that may need food, love, encouragement or maybe just a kind word. We werenât created to be selfish and one of the characteristics of Christians is the desire to help and to be kind so letâs find someone to be good to every day.
âTherefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.â Galatians 6:10
Doing an act of kindness can be anything from giving your time or an encouraging word or even letting someone in front of you while youâre driving; the willingness to be inconvenienced and showing compassion is what makes a difference. You may not see the person again and maybe they never said thank you but God is keeping records of every time you have gone out of your way to help someone and for that you will be rewarded.Â
Thereâs no need to make a big announcement and let everyone know of your act of kindness just so you can get credit, do something good and donât tell anyone about it thatâs how you will get Godâs blessings.
Listen to what people are saying around you, you may find a great amount of opportunities to do something good for people. Our actions are louder than our words.
âFor we are Godâs workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.â Ephesians 2:10
