God's Plan for Us
Imagine walking through a bustling first-century market, surrounded by the sounds of merchants and the smells of fresh bread, and knowing that even in that moment, God had a plan for us, one that would unfold centuries later. He wanted us to be his children, and the price he had to pay was very high - the sacrifice of his only son, Jesus, a demonstration of the depth of his love for us. That is how big his desire for us to be his children is. While he predestined us to be his holy and blameless children, he also gave us free will, freedom of choice, and those of us who choose to be near Him will experience his loving presence and guidance in our lives, like a gentle whisper in the stillness of the night, or the warmth of a crackling fire on a cold winter's evening that brings comfort to our souls.
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.
I still remember the moment I felt God's love and acceptance in my life - it was as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and I felt a sense of belonging and purpose. I recall a quiet morning, sitting by a window with a warm cup of coffee, feeling the sun's rays on my face, and sensing God's peace, a reminder that even in the simplest moments, his love is present. As I reflect on my journey, I am also reminded of a challenging time when I had to make a difficult decision, and in the silence, I heard a gentle nudge, guiding me towards a path that would lead me closer to His heart. Dear God, thank you for your love and grace. I feel honored to be one of your beloved children. I thank you to have the opportunity to know you. Please continue to draw me deeper and nearer, that I may reflect your character and heart, living a life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus' name, Amen
