A Message From God

4 min readPastor West

God is with all of us, he wants to have a relationship with us and help us when we are suffering or scared or when we need someone to talk to, he’s always there for us. But sometimes we forget he’s there for us or maybe we think he’s busy with more important things and it is in those moments that he is trying to reach out to us and often times we ignore it. Is important to pay attention to the signs he sends us to get our attention. Maybe you saw a picture or you read something or someone said something to you, something symbolic or unexpected. It could be a sign from God trying to tell you something, don’t ignore it or brush it off.

Another sign that God may be speaking to you could be by sending a message through someone you know, he could be using a friend or maybe even a complete stranger to tell you something, to bring you closer to him. In some cases, the absence of peace is a clear message that God wants your attention, he wants you to reach out to him.

When you’re feeling uneasy like something isn’t quite right, those are the moments that God is with us and we must trust he will lead the way. He’s fighting our battles and making a way even when we don’t see a way.

Romans 8:38
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God’s love is the most important message in the Bible. He loves us even when we aren’t listening to him. Even if we don’t really know him yet he still loves us very much.

Responding to God's Invitation

As we explore the signs God sends to get our attention and the ways He loves us, even when we're not aware of Him, it's essential to consider how we respond to His invitation to deepen our relationship with Him. In Romans 8:38-39, we find a powerful expression of God's love: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." This verse reassures us that nothing can separate us from God's love, but it also implies that we have a role to play in responding to that love.

Responding to God's invitation involves actively seeking Him, listening to His voice, and trusting in His goodness. It's about creating space in our lives for Him to speak, guide, and comfort us. This can be as simple as setting aside time each day for prayer, reflection, or reading Scripture. As we do so, we open ourselves to His presence and allow His love to transform us. Remember, God's desire is to have a relationship with us, and He delights in our willingness to engage with Him.

As you seek to deepen your relationship with God, consider starting a practice of journaling your thoughts, prayers, and reflections. This can help you process your experiences, identify patterns and insights, and see how God is working in your life. By taking small steps to respond to God's invitation, you can cultivate a more intimate and trusting relationship with Him, even in the midst of challenges and uncertainties. May you find encouragement and peace as you explore the depths of God's love for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:How can I recognize the signs God is sending me?

God's signs can come in many forms, such as a gentle nudge in your heart, a Scripture that speaks directly to your situation, or a kind word from someone. Be still, listen, and trust that He is speaking to you. As Psalm 119:105 says, 'Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.'

Q:Why does God allow suffering and pain in our lives?

God doesn't cause suffering, but He can use it to draw us closer to Him. In Romans 8:28, we read, 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.' He is with us in our struggles, offering comfort and peace.

Q:Can I still have a relationship with God if I've walked away from Him?

God's love for you never changes, and He is always available to welcome you back. Romans 8:38-39 reminds us that nothing can separate us from God's love. If you're feeling distant, take a step towards Him – He'll meet you where you are.

Q:How can I trust God when I'm scared or uncertain about the future?

Trusting God takes faith, but it's a journey He's willing to walk with you. In Isaiah 41:10, we read, 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be frightened, for I am your God.' He offers peace and reassurance, and His presence can calm even the most troubled heart.
