A Prayer of Thanks
Heavenly Father, As we share our blessings with others on this day, we pray for those in need. I thank you for giving me and my family another day and for giving us comfort and prosperity. Your compassion and mercy are a guiding force in our lives. Dear God, I know I do not pray and give thanks as much as I should. Please forgive me for not spending more time praising you. I am grateful for the countless ways you have blessed me and my family, from the roof over our heads to the food on our table. As I sit in my cozy home, surrounded by loved ones, I am reminded of a specific moment when your provision was especially evident - when a neighbor unexpectedly helped us with a difficult move, demonstrating the kindness of strangers and the beauty of community. I also recall a quiet morning when I stumbled upon a verse in Psalm 100:4-5, which says, "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise: give thanks unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." This verse filled my heart with gratitude, and I was moved to write down three things I was thankful for that day, a practice that has since become a daily reminder of your goodness. My heart is also filled with appreciation as I reflect on the beauty of nature, the kindness of strangers, and the love of those around me. May Your peace stay within us and may your joy uplift us. In Jesusâ name we pray. Amen
