Prayer is an essential part of every morning to start our day. Allow yourself to set aside a few minutes in the morning to connect with God. The Bible says that Jesus would pray early in the morning while it was still dark. This doesn’t mean that is the only time you should pray. However, it is important to start our day by giving thanks to God for allowing us to be here another day. Find a quiet place where you can be alone, away from distractions, so you can focus and give all your attention to God. 

It is understandable that with our busy schedules, many times, it feels like we can’t find time for prayer. Still, the reality is that although there may be some controversy about having quiet time at a particular time every day to connect with God, any time is a great time to communicate with him. We can do it while we’re brushing our teeth or even showering. The important thing is to spend a few minutes making that connection. 

So, make a commitment, start your day by taking 30 seconds talking to God, you will see that He never fails when we need him the most.

Father, may we begin this day with a smile. Let me receive your words of encouragement and strength. Help me see myself the way you see me and walk the path you have prepared for me today.
